After the holidays we enjoyed some relaxed time at her home harbor close to Leiden until mid October when we brought our Elsa to Sint Annaland where she was taken out of the water to stay inside a big hall for the winter. Although we miss her a lot this way, we prefer not to expose her to the harsh (wet, cold and stormy) winter weather at these latitudes. It is also a good opportunity to do some small improvements. This time we only did some small jobs: routine maintenance, changed a sea-cock valve, renovated some kit on the deck around the pilot house. Hopefully next winter we will have more time – we would like to renovate chart plotters and maybe also some pillows of the interior.
